Change of plan? Here is exactly what happens.
How to cancel or move an advertising campaign before payment, before launch, or after delivery has started.
Effective 28 August 2026. Send a cancellation request to advertise@viranova.co.za with the campaign reference, account email and requested action. Viranova will acknowledge the request in writing; the effective cancellation time is when the request is received through that route.
Before payment
A saved campaign plan can be withdrawn without charge. The current self-service planner does not take payment or confirm inventory, so abandoning or cancelling a plan creates no payment obligation.
After payment but before approval
When online payment is activated, a campaign cancelled before Viranova approves it is eligible for a full refund, except for a separately commissioned production service that has already been completed and accepted by the advertiser.
After approval but before the start date
Viranova will accept the cancellation and assess any reasonable charge by considering preparation already completed, the nature of the booking, the notice given, the likelihood of reselling the inventory, industry practice and applicable law. Any remaining balance will be refunded under the Advertising Refund Policy.
Once a campaign is live
Delivered days, impressions, mailings, published production work or other completed units are not refundable. Viranova will review undelivered inventory and either stop it, offer a suitable reschedule, issue credit or approve a proportionate refund as the circumstances require.
Date changes and advertiser delays
A request to move dates is subject to available inventory and may require a revised quote. Missing, late, unsafe or technically invalid assets may delay the campaign; inventory held or delivery lost because of advertiser delay may be treated as delivered or cancelled to the extent permitted by law and the confirmed booking.
Exceptional circumstances
Where applicable consumer law prevents a cancellation charge, including qualifying cases involving death or hospitalisation, Viranova will apply that protection. Nothing in this policy removes a non-waivable statutory right.
