Bio

Lloyiso is Loyiso Gijana, a pop and R&B vocalist from Kariega, formerly Uitenhage, in the Eastern Cape. Drawn to music from around age 12, he reached national attention as a teenager on Idols SA season 11 in 2015, then signed with Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2018 for early singles including 'Intliziyo' with Langa Mavuso. His lane is the full-voiced ballad: soul phrasing, patient builds, choruses that land with gospel weight.

In 2021 he signed with Universal Music South Africa and Republic Records, described as the first South African artist on Republic's roster. His EP Seasons (2023), made with producers including Stargate and Mr. Hudson, won Best Pop Album at the 2023 South African Music Awards, and 'Real Love' paired him with Martin Garrix. In October 2025 he announced the EP Never Thought I Could together with his first European tour.
