Bio

Master KG — Kgaogelo Moagi, born in 1996 and raised in Calais Village outside Tzaneen, Limpopo — started building beats at thirteen on a computer left to him by an uncle. His Bolobedu house carries the dance music of his home region onto festival stages, sung in Khelobedu, the language of Limpopo's Lobedu people, over insistent, celebratory electronic grooves.

Debut album Skeleton Move (2018) won an AFRIMA award for African Electro, but Jerusalema, released in December 2019 with vocalist Nomcebo Zikode, redrew the map: a global dance challenge, a Burna Boy remix, the top of Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart and a diamond certification in France. He remains prolific — the joint album Makhelwane with Nkosazana Daughter, released in August 2024, is certified gold in South Africa, and he continues to tour internationally.
