Gospel vocalist and songwriter
Ntokozo Mbambo, born in Umlazi, Durban, in 1985, joined Joyous Celebration at 15 — then its youngest member — and remained a lead singer until 2011. Going solo through Koko Records, she gave worship music a contemporary finish: supple, precise vocals over arrangements that slide between choral gospel and soul, often built with her husband, producer Nqubeko Mbatha, whom she married in 2008.
Her solo debut Filled (2012) went double platinum; Spirit and Life followed in 2015. Lavish Worship (2023) swept the 2023 South African Music Awards — Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Faith Album and Female Artist of the Year — then took Best Gospel Album at the 2024 Metro FM Music Awards. Her honours run to five SAMAs and six African Gospel Music and Media Awards, and in July 2024 she sang the national anthem for the Springboks at Kings Park.

Ntokozo Mbambo shares the bill with Nqubeko Mbatha, Mmangaliso and Tshepang on the Koko Records-produced United Tour, at Rhema Bible Church North in Randburg on Friday 16 October 2026 from 18:00. Tickets run from R350 general admission to R1 200 for the VVIP hospitality package, with further guest artists still to be announced.
