Bio

WizTheMc is the recording name of Sanele Sydow, born in Cape Town in 1999 and raised from the age of two in Lüneburg, Germany. He starts out in 2015 with the NOHOMES collective, relocates to Toronto in 2017 to produce and record, and finds an early audience with 'For a Minute' (2020) — 76 million Spotify streams and placements in Grey's Anatomy and He's All That. His songs move between hip hop, pop and Afro-fusion, melodic and unhurried.

The turn comes in 2025 with 'Show Me Love', made with Bees & Honey: No. 3 in the UK and Germany, No. 10 on the Billboard Global 200, gold in the UK and 193 million Spotify streams, with a Tyla remix debuted at Coachella. Now based in Berlin, he closes the year with the album Yebo (November 2025, via Bamboo Artists) and a Rag'n'Bone Man collaboration on The Bad Guys 2 soundtrack.
