Xolly Mncwango is a gospel vocalist from KwaZulu-Natal who sings traditional gospel through a soul singer's phrasing, folding R&B warmth into contemporary faith music. She joins the choir Joyous Celebration in 2013 and records and performs with it until 2017, then spends the following years as a backing vocalist before stepping out alone with Jesus Is Enough in 2020.
The album Unusual turns the corner: it wins Best Contemporary Faith Album at the 30th South African Music Awards in November 2024. In 2025 she takes two Metro FM Music Awards, Best Female Artist and Best Gospel Album, adding to Crown Gospel Music Awards for Best Female Artist of the Year and Best Streamed Song. Songs such as 'Ungukuphila' extend a catalogue that keeps traditional gospel conviction inside a contemporary sound, and she stands among the country's most consistently awarded faith voices.
