Zakwe, born Ntokozo Zakwe on 8 March 1988 in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal, is a South African rapper regarded as one of the faces of kasi rap, known for isiZulu wordplay and hits such as 'Thixo Wami' and 'AMA Level'. His 2011 self-titled debut album was certified gold, and the albums Impande (2015) and Cebisa (2018) followed, the latter also reaching gold. His 2017 single 'Sebentin', featuring Cassper Nyovest and Musiholiq, produced a remix that won Remix of the Year at the 25th South African Music Awards, and in December 2020 he released a joint album with Duncan. He remains active, appearing on the current single 'Umshikashika' alongside SmartBlack Mampondo.
