Cookie Notice
How Viranova uses essential storage, analytics signals, and optional tracking tools to keep the platform useful and secure.
What cookies and storage we use
Cookies and similar browser storage are small files a site keeps on your device. Viranova uses them in two ways: strictly necessary storage that the site cannot work without, and optional analytics that only runs with your consent.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These keep the site secure and working: your admin session, form and anti-spam protection, abuse prevention, and your saved cookie choice itself. They do not need consent because the site cannot function without them, and some interactive or protected features may break if you block them.
Optional analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics (measurement) to understand page visits, article views, newsletter signups, form submissions, social clicks, device performance, and popular content. It helps us improve Viranova — it is never used to sell your personal information.
We load Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode set to denied by default, so no analytics cookies or measurement run until you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you choose “Decline,” analytics stays off.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your mind at any time: use the “Cookie Preferences” link in the site footer to re-open the banner and accept or decline again. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, in line with the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising and tracking
Viranova does not load advertising pixels, remarketing scripts, or heavier marketing trackers, and we run Google Analytics with Google signals and ad-personalisation features disabled so it is not used for advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and ask for consent first.
Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals
Your browser may send a Do Not Track or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Viranova does not sell or share personal information or run cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off — but we recognise the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out of any sale or sharing, and a browser that sends it is treated as opted out automatically. Optional analytics still stays off until you accept it on the cookie banner, whatever signal your browser sends.
We honour your cookie-banner choice as your consent signal. If you have questions about cookies or analytics, contact support@viranova.co.za.
