TitoM & Yuppe

TitoM & Yuppe are the amapiano pair behind 'Tshwala Bam', the song that dominated South African streaming in 2024. TitoM — Thato Seth Mathobela, born in Mamelodi outside Pretoria in 1998 — mixed his first house tracks in 2012 and turned to amapiano in 2015, years of groundwork behind the partnership with producer Yuppe. Together they favour unhurried, chant-led grooves whose hooks travel well beyond home. 'Tshwala Bam', released in February 2024 with S.N.E and EeQue, went to number 1 on South Africa's streaming chart and number 3 on both Nigeria's TurnTable Top 100 and the UK Afrobeats chart. The fastest amapiano release of 2024 to pass 8 million Spotify streams, it held South Africa's Spotify daily chart for 26 straight days, carried by a TikTok dance challenge joined by Tyla and Jason Derulo. A Burna Boy remix followed in May 2024, now triple platinum in Nigeria, and the song took Song of the Year at the 2025 Trace Awards.
