Bio

Blxckie, born Sihle Philmon Sithole in 1999, comes out of Sydenham Heights, Durban, recording songs with friends from the age of six and later studying psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. When the pandemic lockdown interrupts the degree, music takes over: melodic trap and R&B delivered in quick, tuneful bursts, flagged early when Apple Music names him an Up Next artist in March 2020.

His 2021 is compressed and total. 'David' is certified gold in April, 'Ye x4' with Nasty C goes double platinum in May, and the debut album B4Now earns gold and Freshman of the Year at the South African Hip Hop Awards; MTV Base ranks him the country's hottest MC that December. A feature on K.O's double-platinum 'SETE' follows. Signed to Def Jam since November 2023, he tours the United States in early 2024 and releases the EP see u soon that July.
