Bio

Lwah Ndlunkulu, born Lwandile Mtshali in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, moves to Johannesburg in 2020 while still in Grade 11. She presents at a Hillbrow radio station and works at a Maboneng club, where producer Celza hears her and brings her to Big Zulu's Inkabi Records. Her Afro-pop is built on isiZulu songwriting — melodic, plainspoken, closer to ballad than dancefloor.

Her 2022 debut single 'Ithuba', with Siya Ntuli, is certified platinum and wins Song of the Year at the 2023 Basadi in Music Awards, where she is also Artist of the Year; 'Ngiyeza' repeats the platinum mark. 'Paris', her multi-platinum 2023 collaboration with maskandi singer Mthandeni SK, takes Record of the Year at SAMA 30, where her debut album Imizwa wins Best Afro Pop Album. Named Metro FM Artist of the Year in 2024, she releases her second album, Amaciko, in 2025.
