Feza

Feza is a maskandi singer-songwriter from Nquthu in northern KwaZulu-Natal, part of the young cohort carrying Zulu traditional music into the streaming era. He arrives in 2025 with the Inkanyezi EP, whose single 'Umaqondana' is reported to have held the No. 1 spot on Spotify South Africa for 31 consecutive days. His writing pairs maskandi's guitar lines with an Afro-soul softness — confessional and melodic rather than combative. The album Imizamo Yami follows on 4 April 2026 through the Insika Yethonga label — nine tracks in 42 minutes — and within the same month he returns with Imizamo Yami 2, carrying the Nkosazana Minnie collaboration 'Sana Lwami'. The back-to-back releases mark him as one of the genre's fastest-moving new voices, recording for the label also home to fellow newcomer Umafikizolo.
