Amapiano vocalist
Young Stunna is an amapiano vocalist from Daveyton, born Sandile Fortune Msimango on 17 November 1997. He started in hip-hop in 2012 and worked it for nearly a decade before amapiano claimed him; the 2021 feature 'Bopha', with Felo Le Tee and Mellow & Sleazy, turned him into a national voice.
His debut album Notumato, released in October 2021, entered at number one in South Africa and is certified platinum. 'Adiwele', with Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, reached number one on South African radio with 23.4 million impressions, and 'Imithandazo' took three prizes at the 2024 Metro FM Music Awards: Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Amapiano. Songs such as 'uNonkosi' keep the catalogue moving between church-rooted melody and dancefloor chant.
Thatohatsi’s rise is not built on one isolated hit. Her breakthrough is the result of recurring collaborations that have made her voice increasingly recognisable across amapiano’s most successful chart networks.
